Introducing Quince's family-

Kaishon and I had the privledge of having Quince's wife, Andrea, and 2 of his children, Quince Jr and Storm over for lunch last weekend. We had the nicest time. Andrea is very sweet. Quince's children are exceptionally well behaved. I was truly impressed.
Quince has been doing very good in rehab. He can wheel his wheel chair with his non paralyzed side(left.) He still has no feeling in his right side at all. He can say many words now but it does exhaust him.
He has to wear a helmet and I know that is discouraging to him. Part of his head is sunken in where his skull is removed. These two issues depress him a great deal. He also gets sad when he can not easily express himself. He has come so far. I know that God can still do a miracle for Quince and I am praying for one.
Quince's children have been discouraged lately. Especially the middle one that is pictured above. Quince is the one that found his Dad. Quince misses his Dad because he was his basketball coach. Andrea told me they were very close and it breaks her heart to see the kids hurting.
Thank you for praying. Thank you for caring! If you would like to send a Christmas card to Quince and his family, please let me know and I will send you his address. I would love for him to be encouraged this Holiday season.
Are you wondering "Who the heck is Quince?" Go here, here, and here.

Wow, they're all just gorgeous! What a lovely family. I can't imagine the pain the children must be going through, and Andrea, KNOWING the pain they're in. It's so much to deal with.

I'm sure Quince will make great strides in 2009. Do you know 18 months+ is not an unusual timeframe to expect the recovery to take? He's still brand new at all of this recovery stuff. There is still PLENTY of time. I know it feels like a lifetime to them (I know!!!), but really, he has come so far already that I know the next year+ is going to be even more amazing for him.

I accidentally deleted the address you sent me before. I'm sorry! Could you please resend it. I will definitely send them a card and a note. Thank you!

Oh, that poor family! After watching my Mother struggle with cancer (and a stroke), I know up close and personal all the emotions they are going thru - they will be in my prayers.

Oh.....his family is so beautiful!!!

As I read this, I felt myself totally identifying with Quince and his struggle with feeling down. I know my struggles regarding my employment were nothing compared to his, but nonetheless, I so can indentify with him....even if it is on a different level!

I have been given a miracle and I know God will give one to Quince and his family....I pray for it daily!

Please let him and his family know how very much we've come to love and care for them!

God is able to deliver us!!!!

Much love to you, Kaish and Gary!

What a gorgeous family Quince has! They obviously love him dearly. I know he's been struggling a lot lately, so I'll pray that he feels some relief soon. Remember that God has His own perfect timing for things. Patience is the hardest thing, but sometimes, we just have to trust...

I would love to send Quince a Christmas card. Just give me his address and I'll put one in the mail!

It sounds like he is progressing very well and I will continue to hold this dear family in my heart and prayers. I'm sure it is extremely difficult for the children especially at this time of year.

To change the subject just a little, to pick up an award you highlight it from my blog or whoever sends it to you and then paste it to your computer files. i put it in my pictures. then you just upload it the same as you do a photo and you know how to upload a photo! So go get your award and just do the meme if you want too.
will be praying for your friend.
