teacher salaries

Betsy told me about this site. Very interesting indeed.
You can look up the salary of any teacher in Pennsylvania.
Just type in the last and first name of who you are trying to locate.
If you live in another state, you can find your public school teacher salaries easily as it is public information. Just google it : ). I looked up some of the TERRIBLE teachers and principals I have met and worked with in Philly and I was astounded. And Sickened!
I have a soft spot in my heart for teachers as I am the daughter of a fabulous one
AND so many of my Amazing Aunts and Uncles are educators.
But seriously, sometimes, it does get a little ridiculous. In my opinion only.

Hi Rebeckah,

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I love yours, and found your no-strike video interesting. First, I want to say your son, Kaishon is adorable! I used to want to buy all the "as seen on TV" items when I was a kid too. My favorites were the clapper and chia pet.

Ok, I wasn't a teacher, but I was a public servant and a union member (because it was mandatory!). My humble opinion (because I'm bold that way), is that unions generally benefit two groups of people, the union representatives and the slacker members. I never saw my government agency mistreat anyone, the really awful employees, and some who were quite threatening, were impossible to fire, thanks to the union. We were never asked to strike, but I can't imagine you would ever make up in raises what you lost while out on strike.
Whew! Aren't you glad you asked my my opinion? :))
